- Consumer Credit for November increased $23.7B, more than the expected increase of $9.3B and more than prior month’s increase of $5.8B

- Retail Sales for December increased 0.6%, more than the expected increase of 0.4% and more than prior month’s increase of 0.3%
- Retail Sales ex-auto for December increased 0.4%, more than prior month’s increase of 0.2%
- Capacity Utilization for December was 78.6%, less than the expected 78.8% and less than prior month’s 78.6%
Thursday, January 18th
- Initial Jobless Claims for last week decreased by 16,000 to 187,000 new claims, less than the expected 206,000
- Continuing Jobless Claims decreased by 26,000 to 1.83 million
- Housing Starts for December decreased 4.3% M/M to an annually adjusted rate of 1,460K, more than the expected rate of 1,417K
- Building Permits for December increased 1.9% M/M to an annually adjusted rate of 1,495K, more than the expected rate of 1,478K

- Existing Home Sales for December decreased 1.0% M/M to an annually adjusted rate of 3.78M, less than the expected rate of 3.80M
- Univ. of Michigan Consumer Sentiment – Prelim for January was 78.8, more than the expected 68.8 and more than the prior month’s 69.7
