Mushroom Islands, technically called Mushroom Fields are one of the most rare biomes in Minecraft. They are also one of the most unique biomes in all of Minecraft due to the fact that they have a variety of properties that can only be found in this biome.
Mushroom Field Mobs
This is the only biome where no mobs at all can spawn except Mooshrooms, bats, and the wandering trader. The fact that no other mobs can spawn in the entire biome including all the caves below the island means this is a very safe place to start a world. You can explore and build in the vast network of caves below the islands surface collecting ores early on very safely. There is one exception to mob spawns and that is mob spawners. If there is a dungeon or or abandoned mineshaft with cave spider spawners those mobs can still spawn next to their respective spawner.
A rare benefit to the lack of hostile mobs spawning in is the ability to make great night time builds with unique illumination without worrying about creepers spawning in and destroying your builds.
The Mooshroom is a rare mob, they are basically cows covered in red or brown mushrooms, their behavior is just like a cow but they can additionally be milked with a bowl to obtain mushroom stew.
Mushroom Field Environment
The environment of the Mushroom Island is like no other biome in Minecraft. It is the only biome in Minecraft where mycelium blocks are generated and the only way they can be obtained in the game. The mycelium block covers the grounds of the entire island instead of grass blocks. Only red and brown mushrooms, large and small naturally generate across the island. The water on a Mushroom Island is colored with a brownish tint while any grass or leaves on the island are very bright like the Jungle Biome.
Ultimate Mushroom Island seed
First of all the seed number is 5649105569265555416 and is for Minecraft Bedrock 1.19, if you want to go check it out and build the ultimate Mushroom Island spawn seed. This Mushroom Island seed is the most ultimate seed I’ve ever found for a few reasons. For starters, you spawn on a small Stoney Shores at X: 448, Y: 112 on land near grass, trees, and a village not too far away. If your render distance is 25 or more chunks you will be looking across the water at the massive Mushroom Island from spawn. The islands nearest point from spawn is around X: 76, Y: 154 so about 300 blocks straight west of spawn (you’ll want to take a boat to get there). Although spawn is a few hundred blocks away from zero zero, zero zero is actually on the Mushroom Island.
If you want to play this seed I would suggest collecting some wheat seeds, wool, grab some saplings, maybe loot the nearby village for crops, food and any other items then crafting a boat before traveling to the Mushroom Island and beginning to build your epic Mushroom Island empire.
I’m not going to give away too many secrets about this seed but I’m going to point out a few awesome highlights. Lets look at the below map of the island.
As you can see in the map this island is massive, 824 blocks long by 608 blocks wide at is widest point. The most narrow part of the island (towards the top) is still about 150 blocks wide. This means there is a ton of safe caving under here to go and explore all free of hostile mobs. An additional major bonus is that as you can see on the map there are 5 Ocean Monuments around the island, which is perfect for guardian farming and building underwater bases around the island. Part of the island contains Lush Caves, there are some Ruin Portals around, plenty of Shipwrecks to loot and many other things to explore and find in and around the island.
This seed has a lot of unique and amazing potential. I hope some of you find it a great seed to play on, happy crafting!
