- ADP Employment Change for May was 278K, more than the expected 160K and less than last month’s 291K
- Unit Labor Costs Revised for Q1 increased 4.2%, less than the expected increase of 6.3% and less than last quarter’s increase of 6.3%
- Unit Labor Productivity Revised for Q1 declined by 2.1%, slightly better than the expected decline of 2.7%
- IHS Markit Manufacturing PMI – Final for May was 48.4, less than last month’s 48.5
- ISM Manufacturing Index for May was 46.9, less than the expected 47.1 and less than last month’s 47.1
- Construction Spending for April increased 1.2%, more than the expected increase of 0.2% and more than last month’s increase of 0.3%
Friday June 2nd
- Nonfarm Payrolls for May increased 339K, more than the expected increase of 190K and more than last month’s increase of 294K
- Nonfarm Private Payrolls for May increased 283K, more than the expected increase of 177K and more than last month’s increase of 253K
- Avg. Hourly Earnings for May increased 0.3%, less than the expected increase of 0.3% and less than last month’s increase of 0.4%
- Unemployment Rate for May increased 3.7%, more than the expected increase of 3.5% and more than last month’s increase of 3.4%

US Stocks
US stocks were up across the board ending the week on highs after the US Congress agreed on debt ceiling bill preventing government default and shutdown. The market averaged a gain of 2.1% for the week with Consumer Discretionary leading the rise, the sector gained 3.27% followed closely by the Real Estate sector up 3.07%.
